Nokia World is the premier event in Nokia's busy calender of events each year, and like last year, this year's event takes place right here in the UK. But unlike last year, when the world's tech press descended on London for a two-day Nokia extravaganza in mid-September, this year's event has been shifted back to the end of October.

What is the reason for the shift? Well, some clues can no doubt be taken from the who's who of Nokia's senior heirarchy that have already been confirmed as key speakers at the event.

Not only will Nokia CEO Stephen Elop be a major presence, but so too will Jo Harlow, Nokia vice-president of smart devices, and Mary McDowell executive vice president of Nokia's mobile phones unit.

We still haven't had confirmation of what exactly will be announced at Nokia World 2011, but judging by the high-profile attendees, and the specific rescheduling to later in the calendar, there's no doubt that it'll be something major.
