One of the many highlights of the new Nokia X7 is the 720p HD-capable video camera, which lets you capture all your favourite memories in glorious high definition. But that's just the start of its capabilities. Want to know more? Read on!
Nokia X7 versus Nokia N8: which is better?
So you want to get cracking on recording videos on your Nokia X7? Well, fortunately the first step couldn't be easier: simply flip the phone horizontally and press the camera shutter release button, which will now be on the top edge of the phone.
That will take you into the Camera app, and automatically will default to the 8-megapixel stills camera. To switch to the video camera, however, simply tap the video camera icon on the right of the screen.
To record a clip, just tap the record button at the bottom of the screen in the middle, or better still press the shutter release button. To stop recording, it's the same process.
That's all fairly straightforward stuff, but you can check it out for yourself at the start of the video tutorial below. But the more interesting part of the clip deals with what you do with your videos once you've recorded them. Want to know how to cut the length of your video clips to get rid of unnecessary dead space at the start or end? Or how about adding titles, or piecing a few clips together in a storyboard, or sharing your videos online?
Those are the kind of features that really come into their own on the Nokia X7's stunning 4-inch AMOLED touchscreen, which not only makes the editing process easier and more intuitive, but of course also lets you play back your finished clips in full quality and at a decent size.
It's all covered in the useful video walkthrough below, so check it out... and happy recording!
