As we say hello to another week, it's time to look back at the highlights from the seven days gone by in our Nokia Nuggets roundup – our chance to revisit the big stories we've been covering in the week just past. Read on for more.

Sometimes we struggle to pick out a single highlight in our weekly roundup, but last week there was no such problem. The arrival of the Symbian Anna update for the Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7 and Nokia C6-01 was by far and away the big news of the week, and we made sure to give it the attention it deserved.

Let's revisit our coverage, and take a look at the other stories that hit the headlines over the last seven days

The Symbian Anna update arrives

Nokia promised the Symbian Anna update would roll out to the quartet of Symbian^3 phones in August, and it kept to its word. As for us, we wasted no time in guiding you through the process of updating your phone, plus we pulled out the 10 need-to-know facts about Symbian Anna, and pointed you in the direction of a useful video clip from Nokia highlighting the new features.

The biggest difference?

We know Symbian Anna is rolling out to four different Nokia handsets, but where is the Anna difference most keenly felt? Does it pull the mid-range Nokia C6-01 up by the bootstraps, or send the already impressive Nokia N8 even further into the stratosphere? We jumped headlong into the debate, and got you our faithful NokNok readers giving your opinion too.

Three more for Symbian Anna

The arrival of the Symbian Anna update shouldn't distract us from the fact that there are already three Symbian Anna handsets out there: the Nokia E6, Nokia X7 and the soon-to-launch Nokia 500. We thought last week was a good time to take a closer look at what they have to offer, and where they sit in an expanded range of seven Symbian Anna handsets at the top of Nokia's smartphone tree.

See the world through the lens of a Nokia N8

One of the biggest things we love about the Nokia N8 is how many ordinary people have used it to document extraordinary achievements... like the duo that are using their Nokia N8 to record their round-the-world cycling expedition. For those with more classical sensibilities, meanwhile, the Nokia N8 also starred in producing some stunning black and white snaps we highlighted last week too.

Nine million and counting...

The Ovi Store really is going from strength to strength right now. It seems just weeks ago we were proudly announcing that it was serving some six million app downloads a day, and now the figure is an astonishing nine million. That's some serious growth – and the equivalent of more than three billion apps a year!

And finally...

Nokia Maps is one of our favourite services on our Nokia smartphone, but as we recently found out, Nokia has plans to make its mapping service available to iOS and Android users too. So how about checking out Ovi Maps running on an iPad, then? We're not sure how we feel about it, to be honest, but Symbian World's video is worth a look.
