The Nokia 600 is a great looking budget smartphone with a flat front and curved back, giving it a distinctive look in today’s market. It’s set to launch in a range of colours, including Black, White, Pink and Lime.
What is the new Nokia naming convention?
The Nokia 600 looks set to be a fully featured smartphone offering slightly more than the average smartphone. Weighing in at just 100g this has to be one of the lightest 3.2-inch touchscreen devices on the market. Measuring in at just 111 x 53 x 13mm, it’ll slip into your hip pocket with ease.
The screen has a standard resolution of 640 x 360 pixels, which means you can fully appreciate the new icons and layout of the Symbian Belle platform. What’s more, as we saw with the Nokia 500, the Nokia 600 is set to be powered by a 1GHz processor.
Then there is 2GB of internal memory on board, with support for up to another 32GB of storage thanks to the microSD card.
There’s a 5-megapixel full-focus camera on the back, with an LED flash, that can take stills and 720p video. The battery will last for up to 15 hours talk-time on GSM, and up to 550 hours in standby.
For those who like to have the latest kit crammed into their smartphone, you’ll find the Nokia 600 packs in NFC, WiFi, HSDPA, Bluetooth 3.0 and aGPS. It also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and you’ll find that an FM Transmitter is fitted as standard.
The Nokia 600 has a 5-Megapixel camera with full-focus and LED flash, which can ready take snaps as well as shoot video at up to 720p. The battery will last for up to 15 hours talk-time on GSM, and up to 550 hours in standby.
It’s not just the top-line tech that is appealing with the Nokia 600 as the usability has been enhanced. For example, the FM Receiver has an internal antenna, so you won’t need to plug in headphones to hear it! What’s more, to entice you to get your hands on the Nokia 600 you’ll find that the latest NFC enabled version of Fruit Ninja and Angry Birds! And there is even a torch!
The Nokia 600 is set to launch in Q3 of this year and is expected to cost 180 Euros before taxes.
