We know looks aren't everything, but when you're talking about a phone as striking as the new Nokia C3-01 Gold Edition, they're certainly a lot. Read on as we reveal all on this gilded new handset.

Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type Review Roundup

The standard Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type was introduced earlier this year, but if the silver, warm grey and golden khaki standard colour options are a bit too plain for your tastes, perhaps a touch of 18-carat gold plating will turn your head.

The Nokia C3-01 Gold Edition matches its gold plating to a ceramic-feel keymat and a matching theme to keep things consistent once you switch the phone on.

But there's another couple of surprises here too, as inside this limited edition Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type is a powerful 1GHz processor, so you can be sure it won't be found wanting in the speed stakes. That aside, you get the same 2.4-inch QVGA touchscreen as on the original, along with a 5-megapixel camera with flash and microSD card slot.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and HSDPA networking and the Nokia Series 40 browser should make for some decent web-surfing speeds.

Sadly for us in the UK, however, the Nokia C3-01 Gold Edition looks like it's destined only for Eastern European and Middle Eastern markets at this stage, where it should sell for the equivalent of around €220, plus local taxes and subsidies.
