Nokia Maps is one of Nokia's flagship software products, so any updates or new features to emerge for the powerful mapping and navigation service are a pretty big deal.

That's why we were so excited to hear about the Nokia Maps v3.08 beta emerging from Nokia Beta Labs last month, and why we're equally excited to hear of a few new features Nokia has added to the mix today. Aside from a cleaner navigation and UI, the big news is that Nokia Maps v3.08 also now features a new weather app giving you hour-by-hour conditions and expected forecasts so you can better plan your day or week ahead.

Not only does this additional layer of information allow you to plan your journeys more efficiently, but more importantly it helps you travel more safely too by giving you a better chance of knowing about dangerous travelling conditions in advance.

And speaking of safety, you'll also now notice that live traffic routing information is shown in the Drive screen and search details have been made easier to read.
