We've just had the last Bank Holiday weekend of the year, and it's just as well as we needed an extra day's rest to catch up with everything that's been going on in the Nokia universe over the past week. Read on for the highlights in your weekly Nokia Nuggets digest.

There's no question that autumn is growing steadily nearer, but Nokia has been on hot form in the last week, announcing the next evolution of Symbian, Symbian Belle, launching a full half-dozen new phones plus some great new accessories, all while the Symbian Anna update has been heading out to Symbian^3 users.

So let's get stuck right in and point you in the direction of all the big Nokia-flavoured developments of the past seven days:

Symbian Belle is here

Symbian Anna has given us plenty to write about over the past few months, but if anything Symbian Belle is an even bigger evolution. This week Nokia revealed exactly what Belle is set to bring to Nokia's leading smartphones, and confirmed that all the smartphones able to update to Symbian Anna will be getting Belle too.

Nokia 701: the world's brightest display

Yes, Nokia unveiled Symbian Belle this week, but it also revealed a whole handful of new handsets too. The Nokia 701 leads the way, boasting the brightest ever display on a Nokia smartphone, plus plenty of other highlights including a 1GHz processor and 8GB of internal storage.

Nokia 700: plenty of style, plenty of substance

The Nokia 700 is Nokia's smallest ever smartphone, measuring less than a centimetre thick, but that doesn't mean you're left lacking in any department. The Nokia 700 brings together elegant looks, a gorgeous AMOLED ClearBlack Display plus a Gorilla Glass screen, and plenty of power and features under the bonnet too.

Nokia 600: making all the right noises

Symbian Belle's third standard bearer is the Nokia 600, an entertainment-focused handset that boasts a massively powerful on-board speaker so you get the best out of your tunes, plus little bonuses such as NFC-enabled versions of gaming favourites Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja.

Nokia C3-01 Gold Edition: rich pickings

Last week wasn't just about Symbian Belle: the existing Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type was given some special attention, with the Nokia C3-01 Gold Edition the result. It wasn't just about giving it a golden makeover, either: a 1GHz processor managed to find its way on board too!

And finally...

Design is a very personal thing, but together those personal perspectives can combine to powerful effect. That's the philosophy behind the Nokia Perspectives Project, which is set to form part of Copenhagen Design Week, which starts this week. To find out how you can take part, head over to SymbianTweet.
