Nokia promised we wouldn't have long to wait to get our hands on the new Symbian Belle handsets, and it's kept its word by revealing that the Nokia 700 will go on sale in October through Virgin Mobile. Read on for more details.
The Nokia 700 is officially Nokia's smallest ever smartphone, but while it measures in at under 10mm thick and weighs less than 100g, it's certainly not short on smartphone clout thanks to the likes of a 1GHz processor, 3.2-inch AMOLED ClearBlack display and of course Symbian Belle running the show.
That means great new resizeable homescreen widgets spread over up to six homescreens, plus all sorts of other exciting new features to look forward to.

Nokia promised us a Q4 on-sale date for the Nokia 700 when it showed off this elegant new Symbian Belle handset for the first time at the end of last month, and it's sticking to that – but rest assured, it's very much the beginning of Q4 we're looking at, not the end!
The Nokia UK Facebook page has revealed the exciting news that Nokia will be available from Virgin Media during October. As part of its support for the Jeans for Genes campaign, Nokia has committed to donating £1 to charity in your name for every Nokia 700 sold.
You can check out more information at Nokia UK on Facebook. At the time of writing, Virgin Mobile hasn't revealed anything itself about carrying the Nokia 700, but we can expect more info to appear before too long.
We'll let you know as soon as more details emerge, but for now safe to say we're mightily impressed to hear the Nokia 700 and Symbian Belle will be heading our way so soon.
