We've only just revealed the exciting news that the Symbian Belle-powered Nokia 700 is due to go on sale next month, and now comes the wider confirmation from Nokia itself that both the Nokia 700 and Nokia 701 are officially now shipping. Read on for more details.
The Nokia 700 and Nokia 701 were announced at the end of last month, along with the Nokia 600, as part of the three-strong Symbian Belle debut lineup set to touch down before the end of the year.
And after promising it was working hard to cut down on the length of time it was taking to get newly announced products into the hands of Nokia users around the world, Nokia is proving true to its word.
Nokia 700 on-sale October: Symbian Belle is Go!
The official Nokia Twitter account has revealed: “Now shipping: Nokia 700 and 701 with Belle! Check with your nearest retailer for more info.”
To remind you, the Nokia 700 is officially Nokia's smallest smartphone ever, measuring just 9.7mm thick. Aside from Symbian Belle it also features a 1GHz processor, a 3.2-inch AMOLED ClearBlack touchscreen for superb image quality indoors or outdoors, plus the convenience of NFC integration.
The Nokia 701, meanwhile, comes with a larger 3.5-inch touchscreen, the same 1GHz processor, along with the likes of an 8-megapixel camera and 8GB of built-in storage in a package that oozes style and effortless versatility.
As Nokia's tweet suggests, though, even though we know the Symbian Belle duo are shipping it doesn't give us the all-important news of when they'll actually be available.
We've heard from Nokia that Virgin Mobile will be bringing us the Nokia 700 next month, but we'll be keeping our ear to the ground and will make sure you're the first to know when more information emerges on when the Nokia 700 and the Nokia 701 are set to go on sale – and the Nokia 600 too, for that matter.
