The Nokia E6 was the handset Terry Deary chose to write the keitai-style The Perfect Poison Pills Plot on, a short story designed to be delivered and consumed via text message.

But it's just one of your options if you're after some finger-friendly typing goodness. The mid-range Nokia E5 offers much the same appeal, though without a touchscreen and with a more mid-level spec for a more affordable overall package.

However, the QWERTY keyboard below the 2.4-inch screen is the star here, and Nokia's E-Series is rightly loved for being pleasantly easy to type on.
