The Nokia 700 is on its way and Nokia's smallest smartphone ever is set to be with us at the start of October. What’s more, it’s being lined up by all five of the major networks, so it looks like being a key smartphone for Nokia as we approach the holiday season. Read on to find out more about the Nokia 700.
The Nokia 700 is the world’s most compact touchscreen smartphone yet, measuring in at just 9.7mm thin and weighing a mere 96g, making it a full 13g lighter than the similarly sized-screen of the Nokia 5800. This doesn’t mean you’ll miss out on features, though. Packing a 3.2-inch ClearBlack AMOLED screen, high-definition camera and Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, this tiny handset lets you enjoy the latest and greatest technology in the smallest package around.

Symbian Belle runs the show and with a whopping six home screens you can easily personalise the Nokia 700 with your choice of apps and enjoy instant access to your favourite websites, social networks and emails. The 5-megapixel camera lets you capture high-quality photos and record high-definition 720p video. And with 2GB of memory on board, upgradeable to 32GB via the built-in microSD card slot, you won’t run out of storage quickly.
And when you want to share your memories with friends and family, the built-in NFC technology lets you easily transfer photos, videos and music wirelessly to any other NFC-capable phone simply by touching the two phones together. You can even use NFC to play games with friends or to sync the phone with external speakers for getting the best sound from your MP3s.
Built to be Nokia’s most eco-friendly smartphone yet, the Nokia N700 uses high-quality sustainable materials and is designed to be as energy efficient as possible, so you can enjoy the longest battery life when you're out and about, while still being a friend to the environment. And you won’t have to worry about damage when the phone is in your handbag, as the scratch-proof 3.2-inch screen is built to last.
The Nokia 700 will be available in early October from Vodafone, O2, Virgin and Everything Everywhere networks T-Mobile and Orange. We’re keen to get our hands on what’s shaping up to be a miniature masterpiece, but what about you? Let us know what you think about the Nokia 700 in the Comments below.
