Nokia Maps v3.08 beta adds Weather app to your maps!
The first trial version of Nokia Maps (or Ovi Maps as it was known then) emerged from Nokia Beta Labs in February 2008. Since then nearly 650,000 trial members have helped the Nokia Maps team drive the software forward to where it is today through their continued feedback and and support.
In that time we've seen the arrival of Drive navigation, Live Traffic routing, Check In, Places, Weather and more. But it's not all about fancy features. Nokia rocked the mobile industry last year when it made turn-by-turn directions via Maps completely free for all Nokia devices, a hugely significant move in emerging markets.
So whether you're rocking a high-end Symbian Anna-powered Nokia N8 or an entry-level Nokia Series 40-based C1-01, Nokia Maps has plenty to offer.
And after three years of working to make it the best global navigation service around, the Nokia Maps team has put together a video clip to say thank you to all those who have played a part in testing Nokia Maps and feeding back their impressions around the globe.
