There are two essentials most people buy once they've got hold of a new Nokia smartphone, the first is often a carry case or slip to protect their new prize possession. The second is a high capacity microSD memory card that allows them to add much more storage.
Nokia offers its own range of memory cards but the version that came with our Nokia N8 is a Class 4 card, which means it has a speed of 4MB/s, which is becoming very much entry-level these days. The Samsung is a Class 6 card, so you'll find Read speeds of up to 17MB/s and minimum sustained Write speeds of 6MB/s (maximum up to 13MB/s).
With 8GB you can store over 200 photos, two hours of HD video or well over 140 hours of MP3 music, which is a great addition to anyone owning a Nokia N8 like us. The numbers sure stack up but what this card has over most of the other offerings out there is that it's shock proof, water proof and even magnet proof, so you can pretty much live an extreme life and be sure your memories are safe and sound on your Nokia N8's memory card.

The Samsung 8GB Essential microSD card isn't going to change the way you use your Nokia N8, or any other Nokia smartphone for that matter, but it will allow you to store plenty of stuff and access it a little quicker, making it an ideal purchase!
