Nokia 700 Unboxing review (photo heavy!)

The Nokia 700 and its Symbian Belle packing super-slim body has landed. Currently billed as the slimmest smartphone, it's just 9.7mm thick, it is the easiest phone to ever be able to slip into a jeans pocket. Before we get ahead of ourselves, check out our Nokia 700 Unboxing and hands-on review.

As you would expect from the world's slimmest smartphone, the box for the Nokia 700 is slim and small. We were a little shocked how small when it arrived on the doorstep. The great thing is, you'll find everything you need inside. The Nokia 700 sits in a tray on its own and underneath you'll find a standard 2mm power charger, USB cable and even headphones for use with the 3.5mm audio jack. Below this you'll find all the documentation that comes along with all Nokia smartphones.

If you're looking for a Nokia 700 user guide then you'll need to look on the smartphone itself, as Nokia prefers to pre-load – as this saves paper and gives you instant access to everything you need to know.

The Nokia 700 itself measures a nice and compact 110 x 50 x 9.7mm and has a highly compact and tactile feel to it. Finished with brushed metal on the backplate and coated with polished glass on the front, the 700 looks and feels fantastic. The best thing is it feels great in the hand.

On the top of the Nokia 700 you'll find the USB port, 2mm charger slot and 3.5mm audio jack, all neatly lined up. The left-hand side is free from buttons, as is the base, with three slim and thin buttons on the right for Volume/Zoom, ScreenLock and Camera functions, The buttons are designed with smaller fingers in mind, so this with larger hands may find it a little troublesome.

Fire up the Nokia 700 and you'll find that Symbian Belle looks great. The 1GHz processor helps push things around quickly but it's the fluid finish to Symbian Belle that really impresses. We're so looking forward to getting accustomed to this platform.

The 5-megapixel camera on the back of the Nokia 700 comes with a single LED Flash, which looks lie it will be fine in most conditions. We've had a quick play and image quality looks impressive for a point-and-shoot.

We'll be going into a full depth review once we've got to grips with the Nokia 700, so let us know if there is anything you'd like us to check out. In the meantime, check out our photo gallery below to see how it ships!
