Nokia Store 3.16.036 is the brand spanking look and feel to the store previously known as 'Ovi'. The great thing is, it finally arrive on our Nokia N8 over the weekend. Here we take a look at the new Nokia Store 3.16.036 on our Nokia N8.

We know details of the Nokia Store 3.16.036 update appeared a couple of weeks ago but as is the way with updates it often takes that long for them to roll out around the world. We found that Nokia Store 3.16.036 appeared on our Nokia N8 and we immediately jumped on the chance to get the update up and running.

Weighing in at 6.4Mb, we found the Nokia Store 3.16.036 update quick and easy to install. It's not just the Ovi branding that has gone but you'll now find the store is finished in Nokia blue rather than the green of Ovi.

The main page now consists of Featured apps ready for you to download. Meanwhile, the main controls can now be found running along the bottom of the page and consist of four icons: Home, Categories, Search and My Stuff. The icons and layout has pretty much the feel we'll come to know as Symbian Belle, so is a great first taste of what to expect.

Once you start to drill down you'll find the Nokia Store works in pretty much the same way just with odd tweaks and design changes. For example, if there is an update ready for one or more of your installed apps you'll find the My Stuff icon gets a small number above it to show that updates are ready, which is a nice touch.

We found that Nokia Store loaded quickly on our Nokia N8, at least we hope we're not just imagining it, and the general interface is smoother. You can view the store in Portrait as well as Landscape but we found that the former was easier to navigate when searching, as you can get more on the page.
