Symbian Anna, depending on the country variant, is also known as Symbian firmware version 22.014 here in the UK and while many people assumed this would be the only update until Symbian Belle hit later this year, it seems the Symbian Anna v25.007 firmware update has started to roll out.

The first handset we have to see the update appear on is the office Nokia C7, which is a 3.5-inch smartphone with 8-megapixel camera we tend to use for checking out updates and software when not using the Nokia N8.

Now, we were hoping for a few updates and new apps to make an appearance but with a mere 928kb of download, it seems the Nokia C7 Symbian Anna v25.007 firmware update is merely about fixing bugs and niggles under the hood of the smartphone.

We'd like to say we've noticed a speed-up performance on the Nokia C7 since the update but in truth, it feels and acts the same, just a little more robust.

The Symbian Anna v25.007 firmware update is rolling out globally, or so we believe, right now and variant numbers may differ depending on your locale. If you're looking for the update you can check with Nokia Suite 3.2 (or Ovi Suite if you've not updated) as well as dial into the Device Updates by slapping *#0000# into the Call box and it will send you straight to the tool.
