The Nokia 700 comes with the Symbian Belle operating system neatly tucked away inside it's super-slim body. However, it comes with the old Ovi Store shop front, at least ours did, until the Nokia Store 3.16.036 firmware update hit. Check out how to get the Nokia Store 3.16.036 firmware update on your Nokia 700.
As part of the Nokia re-branding, the company is slowly moving away from the Ovi name and reverting back to Nokia, hence the arrival of the Nokia Store 3.16.036 firmware update. This isn't just a name change as you'll find a brand new look and a great deal more functionality on offer.

The Nokia 700 is a smartphone with 3.2-inch touchscreen that includes Gorilla Glass and ClearBlack technology for the best image quality yet. And with its super-slim 9.7mm body, it also happens to be the slimmest smartphone in the world at this screen size right now.
We were expecting the new Nokia Store to be part of the Symbian Belle core release but you'll find the Nokia Store 3.16.036 firmware update is rolling out independently, so Nokia 700 users will need to install it manually. The download is a quick and easy 6.5MB, so won't make a dent on your data allowance but for the best results use Wi-Fi when at home.
The Nokia Store 3.16.036 firmware update was easy to install on our Nokia 700 and after a couple of minutes the new look is evident. Gone is the green of Ovi, replaced with the now familiar Nokia Blue.
Aside from the colour change the next thing you'll notice is that the Nokia Store 3.16.036 firmware update offers up a look that is in-keeping with Symbian Belle, so if you're running it on a Nokia Anna device, such as the Nokia N8, Nokia X7 or Nokia E7, this may well be your first glimpse of what the new version of the OS looks and feels like.
To this end, you'll find a row of icons in a black bar at the foot of the page, which does away with the need for tabs on the actual page itself. With a Back button, Home, Options, Search and My Account, you're pretty much covered.
Once you start to push down into the app itself, you'll find the Nokia Store works in pretty much the same way just with some nice design tweaks. For example, if there is an update ready for one or more of your installed apps you'll find the My Stuff icon gets a small number above it to show that updates are ready, which is a nice touch.
We found that Nokia Store loaded quickly on our Nokia 700, at least we hope we're not just imagining it, and the general interface is smoother. You can view the store in Portrait as well as Landscape but we found that the former was easier to navigate when searching, as you can get more on the page.
