Nokia Lumia 800 Windows PhoneThe Nokia Lumia 800 has landed and is here at Nokia World 2011 for us to experience ahead of its launch in just a couple of weeks (certainly by the end of November). Check out our Nokia Lumia 800 preview and hands-on photos.

When Stephen Elop stated "there are ways to make smartphones simpler and easier" he was talking about the Nokia Lumia 800 and having played with it, albeit for a short time, we have to admit that Nokia has done exactly that. The Nokia Lumia 800 is a stunning piece of design that feels incredibly good in the hand.

The Nokia Lumia 800 refines and evolves the whole Nokia design process. From its precision finish, such as each hole on the speaker having been individually milled, to the shape and form of the phone itself, it’s all about precision engineering.

It's not just how it feels but also the way it responds; we've found it quick and agile and the marrying of the Windows Phone platform with Nokia hardware is everything we were hoping for, if not more.

The Nokia Lumia 800 will ship in three colours - Black, Blue and Pink - the same as we saw with the Nokia N9 earlier in the year. Stephen Elop defined the Lumia 800 as "just beautiful", going on to suggest that whether physical or digital, every feature has fought for its place, and that from a design perspective, what was left out was as agonising a decision as what was put in.

We're looking forward to playing with the Nokia Lumia 800 for longer in the coming weeks and months but for now check out our hands-on preview photos and prepare to be amazed!
