Nokia Asha 303 Series 40 phoneFollowing the release of the Nokia Asha 303 at Nokia World 2001 in London, we’ve been taking a look at Nokia’s latest stylish, dual-interface equipped phone, to bring you all the official specifications and photos you need.

The Nokia Asha 303 is a Series 40-powered handset and is built with both a 2.6-inch capacitive touchscreen and a full QWERTY keyboard, to provide a mix of touch and keypad usability. The stylish handset measures 116.5 x 55.7 x 13.9 mm, weighs just 99g and is available in a choice of black or red.

The Nokia Asha 303 is driven by a powerful 1GHz processor, and features both 3.5G and 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity. The 2.6-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen features a 320 x 240 pixel QVGA resolution and 262k colours, to make the display bright, vibrant and sharp, despite its relatively small size

The Nokia Asha 303 packs 100MB of storage out of the box, but you can upgrade to as much as 32GB, using the built-in Micro SD Card slot. Files can be shared wirelessly using Bluetooth 2.1 and there is also a Micro USB port and a USB 2.0 cable for connecting to your laptop, tablet or PC.

On the rear of the Nokia Asha 303 is a 3.2-Megapixel EDOF camera, so you can capture sharp photos and record video with ease. In terms of video codecs and formats, the Asha 303 supports H.263 level 45, MPEG4 encoding and decoding, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, as well as Real time & 3GPP streaming.

When you want to listen to music, the Nokia Asha 303 lets you enjoy MP3, MP4 (audio), AAC, AAC LC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, NRT, MXMF, WAV, NB AMR, WB AMR and MIDI files. There is also a Stereo FM radio with RDS built-in and you get a Nokia WH-102 stereo headset included in the box

And the Nokia Asha 303 also offers plenty of battery power to keep you busy as you travel. Nokia claims you get more than 8 hours of talk time, up to 47 hours of music playback and as much as thirty-five days of standby time.

Finally, as with the Nokia Asha 300, all Nokia Asha 303’s also come with the Angry Birds Lite game pre-installed, which is sure to be a key selling-point for many customers. The Nokia Asha 303 is set for release in the run up to Christmas with an estimated retail price of around 115 Euros, excluding tax.
