Incredible Circus is one of those highly addictive games, like Doodle Jump or Dalton: The Awesome, that on the surface look simple but have a knack of drawing you in. Incredible Circus is a free download from the Nokia Store that weighs in at a little over 6MB, so installing it on the Nokia N8 is pretty fast and simple. The game itself has a simple aim, you have to fire your circus performer from a standing position up into the big top to land on a platform above.

Now, if the route was a simple one that would be easy but no fun. So, an ever increasing array of obstacles, from barriers to knife throwers, get in the way and prevent your circus performer from getting to the end platform.
In many respects, Incredible Circus is a spin on the idea of Angry Birds, in that you angle your man, let fly and then see what occurs. The knack is in getting the strength of the pull and the angle of trajectory right. However, while Angry Birds is a simple one pull affair, with Incredible Circus you’ll find there are spring boards and bounce matts that help him achieve his aim. It also means the game play is longer.
When you’ve completed a challenge you can move on to the next one, with each one getting progressively harder and more challenging, hence the addictive but frustrating feel you get with these kind of games.
The graphics look fantastic with a nice colour palate and bold visuals that really make the most of the 3.5-inch screen of the Nokia N8.
If there is one problem with Incredible Circus on the Nokia N8, it’s that it doesn’t use the smartphones accelerometer, so you can’t steer your character around and you’re forced to simply forced to watch as he bounces of objects and off target!
That said, Incredible Circus is a highly addictive game to play and one that will nicely kill some time when you’re travelling or just looking for a diversion.
