It’s not all about work though, as you can easily customise the Nokia E6 with your own ringtones, to enjoy a more personalised experience. We show you how.
Nokia E6: 10 things you need to know
While changing a ringtone can be a simple task for some, it can be a daunting prospect for others. Thanks to Symbian Anna’s easy to use interface and logical settings, however, setting your Nokia E6 up with a personalised ringtone is an easy task that you can do in just a few quick steps.
First, press the Menu button on your Nokia E6 and then tap the Settings icon onscreen. From here, you need to tap the option marked Profiles – located at the top of the screen – and then select the profile that you want to customise. In most cases, the profile you should change is the one named General.
Once you tap on the General profile, a menu will pop up at the bottom of the screen, offering you two options. Tap the option marked Personalise and you will be taken to the main ringtones menu. Here you can use the Ringtone and Message Alert Tone options to change your default ringtone and text-tone.
By tapping on either option, you will get a new menu that lets you choose from the default list of Nokia ringtones, by tapping the folder labelled Tones; choose from any music that you have stored on your Nokia E6, by tapping the folder labelled Songs; or go online to get new tones, by selecting Download Sound Clips.
Once you’ve found the tone you want, just tap on it to highlight and preview the tone, then tap Select to set it as your new ringtone. Your new tone will then be set and next time you get a call or text, it will be the new sound that you hear.
