The Symbian Belle operating system on the Nokia 700 has been enhanced to offer a host of neat and practical features, one of them is the ability to use shortcuts to add your favourite contacts to the 3.2-inch homescreen. Here we look at How to Add Contacts To Your Nokia 700 Homescreen
The Nokia 700, like all previous Symbian^3 smartphones, lets you add up to 20 contacts and have it pinned to one of the six homescreens you ca have on the Nokia 700. What's more, you can also add photographs for your contacts – so it’s a simple case of tapping on the friend you want to call or send a text message to.

Choose the homescreen you want to install the Contacts widget on and then press on any blank space on the screen. From the three options that pop up, choose Add Widget and you'll find a list of widgets opens up. Now, this is where Symbian Belle adds one of those neat little twists, you can choose to add a single contact, or opt for the longer Favourites selection.
For this tutorial we're looking at adding multiple contacts so choose: Contacts, Favourites. This will place a screen widget widget onto the screen of the Nokia 700 that comes with a message to add favourites simply by tapping the screen.
Tap the screen and it drops you down into the Contacts list. Now choose whichever of you friends and family you wish to add, press on their name and a dialogue box will pop up which include Add to Favourites.
What we like about this method is that along with adding the contact to the widget bar it also pushes their name to the top of the list, illustrated with a little star, so even if you don't use the widget and look them up in the Contacts list you'll find them pinned to the top, which is quicker and more convenient.
Once you've added your list of favourites return to the homescreen and you'll find they've been added. As with all contacts you can add photos to personalise each contact.
