Nokia Lumia 800 vs. Motorola Razr best monthly dealsWith the Christmas season nearly upon us, mobile phone shops up and down the country will soon be filled with shoppers keen to find the best deals around. With the Nokia Lumia 800 already proving a hit since its release earlier in the month, we’ve put it head-to-head with the new Android-powered Motorola Razr, to see which offers the best value for money this Christmas.

O2
Currently the Nokia Lumia 800 can be picked up on O2 via Phones 4U for just £26 per month on a 24-month contract. This gets you the handset for free, along with 300 minutes of calls and unlimited texts, although there is no monthly web data allowance included. In total this deal will cost you £624 over the life of the contract.

The best deal that O2 is currently offering for the Motorola Razr is also via Phones 4U and costs £31 per month on a 24-month contract. Again this gets you the handset for free, along with 600 minutes of calls and unlimited texts, with no monthly web data allowance. This deal will cost you £744 over the full term of the contract - £120 more than the Nokia Lumia 800.

Orange
Orange is also offering the Nokia Lumia 800 for £26 per month on a 24-month contract. This nets you the handset for free, as well as 400 minutes of calls, unlimited texts and 250MB of web data each month. Over the full course of the contract, this will again cost you a total of just £624.

As with O2, the best deal Orange is offering for the Motorola Razr will again cost you £31 per month on a 24-month contract. The handset is thrown in for free and you get 400 minutes of calls, unlimited texts and 750MB of web data per month, costing you £744 over the life of the contract – again £120 more than the Lumia 800.

T-Mobile
When browsing for T-Mobile deals, we found the Nokia Lumia 800 for just £20.42 per month on a 24-month contract via Affordable Mobiles. This gets you the handset for free, along with 300 minutes of calls and unlimited texts. There is no monthly web data included in the price but the total cost of this deal works out at an incredibly low £490.08 over the full contract.

When buying the Motorola Razr through T-Mobile, the best deal we found was via Buy Mobile Phones and costs £25.54 per month on a 24-month contract. The handset is free and you get 600 minutes of calls, 500 texts and 500MB of web data, costing £612.96 over the life of the contract - £122.88 more than the Lumia 800 will cost you.

Vodafone
And finally, Vodafone is also offering the Nokia Lumia 800 for the low price of £26 per month on a 24-month contract. As with all deals here the handset is free, while you also get 100 minutes of calls, 500 texts and 250MB of web data per month, costing you a total of £624 over the full 24-month contract.

Again the Motorola Razr costs a more expensive £31 through Vodafone on the same 24-month contract. As well as a free handset, this nets you 600 minutes of calls, unlimited texts and 500MB of web data per month. In total this will cost you £744 over the full term of the contract – yet again, £120 more than the great Nokia Lumia 800 will cost you.

As you can see, the Nokia Lumia 800 is a great deal no matter where you buy it, when compared to the Motorola Razr. Not only can you get your hands on the world’s best and most eye-catching Windows Phone for as little as £20.42 a month, but you can even save yourself more than £120 in the process. With a great deal like that, you’d be mad not to choose the Nokia Lumia 800.

We know which smartphone wins our vote, but what do you think about the Nokia Lumia 800 and the great deals you can currently enjoy? Why not let us know in the Comments below?

Given the fact Nokia is trying to gain some market share along with Microsoft against its competitors like Google and Apple, the windows app market place still lacks way behind in terms of offering compared to other established players. In my opinion, Nokia Lumia 800 is just a base smartphone bets suited for someone who has never used smartphone in their life. However, as a smart user my bet would be on either Android or Apple which has better market share and established user base globally. Again you get what you pay for. So it all boils down to user experience and how comfortable you are personally in using the phone in your daily life.

well coming from a Symbian phone to WP7 has a lot better apps. I also feel that my previous smart phones (that were all Symbian) we just not as moden as WP7 i admit i am biast towards Nokia however and compared to Android, Symbian and IOS WP7 feels a lot more polished and like a “cool” smart phone.

ive not really used IOS WP7 but i have had both touch and non touch Symbian phones and ive got to say the non touch was good top notch at its time. the touch version however its one piece of steaming S*%t its not been developed any further than the non touch version (other than adding touch ablility), you put it side by side with android or iphone and you can clearly see what a TURD it is, whoever decided at nokia to use that alful OS and continue for so long to use it, needs SACKING! Nokia used to be the big player now nobody wants one due to all thier Handsets havin SymShite on them they have been tared!
