How to transfer contacts to your Nokia Lumia 800
Adding new contacts to your Nokia Lumia 800 is made easy, thanks to the great Windows Phone 7.5 operating system. Using the intuitive Windows Phone People Hub, you can create new contacts in just a few easy clicks and then start managing them using the handy Groups tool.
To add a new contact to your Nokia Lumia 800, just start by tapping on the People tile; you can find this at the top right of the Windows Phone Start screen, the Lumia 800’s main home screen. This will open the People Hub, where you can fully manage all Contacts and Groups on your smartphone.
From here, all you need to do is tap the ‘New’ button at the bottom of the screen – illustrated with a ‘+’ symbol – and then select New Contact. You will then see the New Windows Live Contact page, where you can enter all details of your new contact, including name, phone number and email address.
To set a default ringtone for your new contact and make it easier to tell when they’re calling you, just tap Ringtone and you can choose from the vast list of Windows Phone’s built-in tones. To select a ringtone, tap on its name, and if you want to preview the ringtone first, just tap on the Play button to its left.
You can even add a photo to your new contact quickly and easily, by tapping the Add Photo box at the top of the New Windows Live Contact page. This takes you straight to the Windows Phone Pictures Hub, where you can choose from all photos currently stored on your Nokia Lumia 800.
And if you’ve got your new contact standing right in front of you and you want to snap a quick shot of them using the Nokia Lumia 800’s great 8-Megapixel camera, then just tap the Camera button from the bottom of the Pictures Hub to open the easy to use Camera app and start snapping away.
Once you’ve entered all the details for your new contact and added their photo, then just tap the Save button at the bottom of the New Windows Live Contact page – illustrated with an icon of a floppy disc – and your new contact will instantly be added to the Nokia Lumia 800’s Windows Phone People Hub.
