Angry Birds Rio has come in for an update in the form of the v1.4.0 firmware release that brings with it a bunch of bug fixes that makes the game a whole lot more solid and robust when playing.

For gamers, the big news is that we get 15 full new levels to take part in under the backdrop of the Smugglers Plane. This time around we find ourselves indoors in the rather confined space of the planes cargo hold.
The graphics are up to their usual standard but we have to admit that the brown hues are a little muggy compared to what we've seen in previous instalments of Angry Birds Rio. The game itself is quite tricky with quite a few cages stashed away in what seem like impossible locations to hit. This means it's a great game for those who think they're an adept at the game as it keeps a certain learning curve in place.
The game remains pretty much the same, with the addition this time around that the Boomerang Bird has been unlocked, so is fully usable in the game. If you're looking for hidden treats then keep your eyes peeled for the Mangoes as there are seven of them hidden throughout Angry Birds Rio (v1.4.0) Smugglers Plane and will help you get to the top of the leaders table.
Another tip that is worth bearing in mind if you're looking for a clean sweep is that the luggage can explode and be worth 5000 points, something not to be snorted at!
Angry Birds Rio (v1.4.0) Smugglers Plane is very much an add-on and doesn't bring anything new to the game so isn't likely to pull new players in. However, if you're already found that you've conquered earlier rounds of the game then this is a must-have.
