Once installed on your Nokia Windows Phone, Pictures Lab’s easy to use interface lets you instantly start tweaking your photos. You can either choose an image straight from your photo library, or you can take a new image using the Lumia 800’s camera, both with just the tap of a button.
Once your image is loaded into Pictures Lab, you can then either hit the Crop/Rotate button at the bottom of the screen to trim or spin your photo, or you can swipe left and right to access the Borders and Effects pages, to start adding custom effects to your photo and give it a truly unique new look.
On the Borders page, you have a choice of twelve eye-catching borders that you can instantly add to your photo with an easy tap. With borders to replicate the look of old polaroid photos, paper backgrounds and film strips, to name a few, you can quickly give your photo a nice, retro feel in a matter of seconds.
Then, on the Effects page, you have a further choice of thirty great-looking effects that you can add to your image. As well as the usual B&W and Sepia options, you can add vintage effects from the 50’s, 70’s and 80’s, along with night-vision, x-ray and mirror effects, among others, for some unique results.
Once your photo is looking exactly how you want it, then all you need to do is tap the Save Copy button, to save your new photo back to your Nokia Lumia 800’s photo library. And you can even share the image straight to Facebook, Twitter and other social networks, with just a couple of quick taps.
