Get Me Out is essentially a variation on those tiles games you used to play, only now it's available on your smartphone. If you ever had one of those tile-based games when you were a kid that allowed you to move different squares around until you made a full picture then you'll know the premise of Get Me Out on the Nokia 700.

However, instead of making a picture, the idea is to free the big red square so it can be pushed off the bottom of the screen and into an ever increasingly more complex array of traps! The playing area consists of a 5 x 4 square grid with all spaces filled with different block shapes, all but one, giving you limited freedom to move. The biggest block is the red block taking up four squares and it's this block you need to feed out of the system.
You can keep track of how many moves it takes to free the red square, and there is also a counter for the highest score, so you can try and beat your previous best. If there any any problem with Get Me Out it's that in this hi-tech are, it feels pretty old-fashioned and the developers haven't tried to dress it up as anything more than it is, so may well not appeal to younger gamers.
Get Me Out comes in two versions, the Lite edition, which we've been playing which is free and delivers 40 levels for you to try out, while the full version weighs in at £1.50 and gives you access to well over 360 levels.
In truth, we've found the free version to be pretty taxing. The graphics are basic but you don't need a flashy interface when the game is as addictive and fun as this. We've been playing it on the train when travelling and it really helps the miles fly by as some of the puzzles are pretty tricky to solve.
