Not only is the Nokia Lumia 800 the world’s best looking Windows Phone, it is also one of the fastest. Comprehensively beating rival handsets such as the HTC 7 Trophy in our web browsing tests yesterday, we’ve now put it to the test with a more advanced web-rendering test, so join us as we view the results.
Nokia Lumia 800 vs. HTC 7 Trophy: Which is faster?
Following the success of the Nokia Lumia 800 in our tests yesterday, as we assessed just how well the stacks up against the HTC 7 Trophy, we thought we’d run one more benchmark test on these two Windows Phone handsets to see just how well each of them handle a more advanced web browser test.
The RightWare BrowserMark test is a great benchmark tool designed to assess the internet browser performance of smartphones and other mobile devices. It tests performance by running JavaScript and HTML rendering tests and then delivers a test score, which you can then use to compare devices.
First we ran RightWare BrowserMark on the Nokia Lumia 800. The higher the score, the better the performance, and the Nokia Windows Phone did a great job. Ploughing through the advanced browser tests with speed and ease, it managed to quickly churn out a fantastic result of 30,998 points.
Next we ran the same test on the HTC 7 Trophy and found performance far less capable. Chugging slowly through the browser tests, it took noticeably longer than the Nokia Lumia 800 and this was backed up by the dreadful result of just 23,125 points it achieved – almost a third slower than the Nokia.
No matter what we’ve thrown at the Nokia Lumia 800, it has handled it all with ease. As well as being the best looking Windows Phone, our tests continue to show that it is also one of the fastest, adding even more great value to this gorgeous Nokia Windows Phone.
