Manage Wi-Fi networks on the Nokia Lumia 800The Nokia Lumia 800 packs a great range of connectivity, making it easy to enjoy the fastest wireless network speeds wherever you go. Setting up and managing your Wi-Fi networks on the Nokia Windows Phone is easy, thanks to the great Windows Phone 7.5 OS, so we’re here to show you how.

Nokia Lumia 800 app review: Network Dashboard

To access Wi-Fi networks on your Nokia Lumia 800, just swipe to the left on the Windows Phone Start screen, or tap the right-facing arrow at the top right of the screen, and then swipe down and tap on Settings. From there, you can then look down the list and tap on the option labelled Wi-Fi.

To activate the Wi-Fi, or toggle it on or off, just swipe your finger across the Wi-Fi Networking switch. Once the Wi-Fi has been switched on, you can then connect to a network. You will see a list of all available Wi-Fi networks in the list below, so just tap on the network you want to start accessing it.

If your Wi-Fi network is secured – which it always should be, to prevent unauthorised access – you will then be asked to enter your network key. Using the Windows Phone onscreen keyboard, carefully enter the key, making sure to enter all characters in the correct case, where applicable.

Once you’ve got connected to your main home Wi-Fi network, it will then be added to your Windows Phone’s list of Known Networks. This means your Nokia Lumia 800 will then automatically connect to it next time you’re in range, making it quick and easy to get connected when you’re back at home.

And if you ever need to manage your list of Known Networks, say to add a new network or delete and existing connection, this is just as easy to achieve on the Nokia Lumia 800. First all you need to do is navigate to the main Wi-Fi Settings page, as before, and then tap the large button labelled Advanced.

From here you’ll see a list of all of your current networks and you can either tap the Add button to add a new network to the list, or you can tap the Select button, then tap the checkbox next to the network you want to remove and then tap the Delete button to clear it from your Known Networks list.

With its easy to use interface, the Nokia Lumia 800 and its Windows Phone 7.5 OS make it incredibly easy to manage your Wi-Fi networks. And with such an intuitive and smooth UI design, it’s never been easier for beginners and experts alike to get the very best from gorgeous new Windows Phone.

And if you want even easier control over your Nokia Lumia 800's wireless connections, then apps such as Network Dashboard let you add a new Live Tile to the Windows Phone Start screen and then manage your full list of connections with an easy tap from your phone's home screen.
