If you want a fast and furious change from games like Angry Birds and Kinectimals on your Nokia Lumia 800, then Fruit Ninja is worth a try. We’ve been glued to it for over a week now but today we’ve managed to put down our Nokia Windows Phone to bring you a full Fruit Ninja game review.
Top 10 free Nokia Lumia 800 games
The best smartphone games are easy to pick up, tough to master and packed with great graphics, addictive gameplay and edge of the seat excitement. Fruit Ninja has it all and you’ll need nerves of steel, incredibly quick reflexes and a very strong finger to beat this game on your Nokia Windows Phone.
The object of the game couldn’t be easier (or more ridiculous). You’re a master ninja and for some unknown reason someone is throwing fruit at you which you have to slice in half to win the game. This may be one of the daftest game set ups in history and yet Fruit Ninja still manages to be loads of fun.
To slice the fruit in half you just have to swipe across it with your finger as it flies up from the bottom of the screen. With lemons, oranges, bananas, pineapples and watermelons careening their way across the Nokia Lumia 800’s screen, you must think and act fast if you’re to slash it all up in time.
Things start off fairly easy, with one or two pieces flying around, but you’re quickly besieged by fruit and have to use quick reflexes and a keen eye to chop it all before it falls off the screen. Once you miss three pieces of fruit it’s game over, so the game can be pretty unforgiving if you’re not quick to react.
Not only that, but bombs also fly up from the bottom of the screen every now and then. And if you swipe even a single bomb, it’s also game over. With the bombs looking very fruit-like when you’re in the midst of hacking and slashing, you’ve got to be even more aware if you want to survive through to the end.
As well as racking up points for slashing single pieces of fruit in half, you can also win extra points for chaining combos together and slashing multiple pieces in a single chop. This is much harder than it sounds but once you get the hang of it, you’ll be chopping up some amazing combos in no time.
And that’s pretty much all there is to this great game. Simple, colourful and fun to play, Fruit Ninja is the definition of a great smartphone game, as it can be picked up in seconds and is the perfect way to waste time on the daily commute. And it looks fantastic on the Nokia Lumia 800’s gorgeous screen.
If you’re a little tired of the usual smartphone gaming suspects and want a unique little game to get stuck into, then make sure to give Fruit Ninja a try on your Nokia Windows Phone. It’s surprisingly nerve-wracking and addictive and will have you hooked to your Nokia Lumia before you know it.
