The Nokia C7 is a gorgeous smartphone. Its stainless steel rear gives it that premium look and feel you’d expect from a top quality Nokia. The phone was originally announced at Nokia World 2010 and oozes quality throughout, right down to its ClearBlack display that produces some of the best colours seen on a Nokia phone. The Nokia C7 is one of those phones that can function as a trendy smartphone you love to show off, yet act as a high-end business phone at the same time. When the Nokia C7 hit the shelves, it raised the bar for Symbian phones by combining features such as an 8-Megapixel camera, 8GB of storage and AMOLED screen technology.
We were immediately impressed with the Nokia C7 and its curvy design from the moment we first unboxed it. At the beginning of the year we showed you how easy the Nokia C7 was to use, with a series of user guides with tutorials on how to edit the home screens, change wallpaper, customise the menu, and more. We even showed you how to improve its battery life.
That said, using the Nokia C7 is actually very easy. Going back a little further to our Nokia C7 review, the Nokia C7 scored very highly with us. We loved its style, features and ease of use.
In July the Nokia C7 was updated with Symbian Anna. Our hands-on review of the new Symbian Anna Calendar, and then the new Symbian Anna Portrait QWERTY keyboard showed how the C7 could easily be enhanced through updates.
The latter update in particular gave a new lease of life to texting on the Nokia C7. And now that Symbian Belle, with its added home screens and customisable widgets is arriving for Nokia C7, we love it even more.
Nokia C7 and Symbian Belle: What can we expect
Even now the Nokia C7 is one of the standout Symbian Nokia smartphones. It looks the business and packs in plenty to keep Nokia fans occupied. The ability to download apps from the Nokia Store online through the C7 just adds to its appeal.
A few essential apps for your Nokia C7:
Shazam
The Nokia C7 loves to store music. Fill it up with some more with the help of Shazam. The next time you hear a song you like, simply fire it up, press a button to tag the song being played, and then wait a few seconds for Shazam to tell you the artist and album.
Sports Tracker
Sports Tracker transforms your Nokia C7 into a top-class training performance tool that measures and analyses your performance when running or jogging. It can track pace, distance run, heart rate and keep check of your pavement-pounding routines.
Fruit Ninja
Fruit Ninja is a highly addictive game in which you slice as much fruit as possible using ninja-like finger reflexes while avoiding incoming bombs. Fruit Ninja is brilliant fun, and cannot come any more highly recommended.
