Continuing Nokia's move towards rebranding all its products with the Nokia name, Symbian Belle has been officially renamed Nokia Belle. And with updates for the Nokia N8, Nokia C7 and Nokia E7, among others, on the way in February, we’ll all soon be able to enjoy Belle on our Nokia handsets.
Nokia Symbian Belle officially coming February 2012
Following the rebranding of the Ovi Store to the Nokia Store last year we were fully expecting to see Symbian get a similar rebrand, but we were still a little surprised to see it happen so soon, as Symbian Belle is such a new and fresh operating system and still building its brand.
However, we’ve certainly got no complaints with the news that Symbian…err, Nokia Belle will be available for our Nokia N8, Nokia C7 and Nokia E7 phones next month. We already love everything this gorgeous operating system offers us on our Nokia 700 smartphones, so we can’t wait to try it on our other favourite Nokia handsets.
As well as doubling the amount of home screens to a total of six, Nokia Belle also packs a beautifully redesigned interface, easy to use widgets, a fantastic status bar and some of the best live multitasking we’ve ever seen, making Nokia Belle by far one of the best Nokia operating systems we’ve used to date.
