Every day we use our Nokia Lumia 800 it seems like we find a new feature that makes us wonder how we ever managed without it. The latest we’ve been using are Windows Phone Threads and Conversations. And the ease with which they let us communicate puts other smartphones to shame.
Nokia Lumia 800: How to get started
While most phones make you use a separate app for texting, emailing, instant messaging and Facebook chats, Windows Phone Threads and Conversations let you view all of them and more from a single interface on the Nokia Lumia 800, making it easier than ever to keep in touch with your friends and family.
All communication you’ve had with your contacts can be viewed in a single pane and, for example, you could easily send them a message via Facebook, they could reply via IM and you could then drop them a line back with an SMS text and the whole conversation will appear on your phone as a single thread.
To use Threads and Conversations on the Nokia Lumia 800, you just need to tap the Messaging Tile on the Windows Phone Start Screen. The Messaging app will automatically open on the Threads page, where you will see a list of all contacts that you have been communicating with on your phone so far.
If you then tap on any of those contacts, you will see all your communications listed in Conversation View, letting you keep tabs on everything that has been said and see at a glance which medium was used to send it (text, IM etc.). Once we tried it once, all other phones looked a little archaic in comparison.
