Nokia Lumia 800: How to get started

To start creating, transferring and listening to music on the Nokia Windows Phone, you first need to download and install the Microsoft Zune application on your home PC. With that done, you can then launch the software and begin importing music from your computer, to transfer to your phone.

To create a new music playlist of your favourite songs, just open Zune and click the New Playlist button. You can then give the playlist any name you like and then click OK to create it in Zune. Now you’re all set to add songs to your playlist, so just drag and drop them across from your main Zune music library.

Once that’s done, make sure that your Nokia Lumia 800 is connected to your PC via USB and you’ll see the phone appear in Zune as an icon at the bottom left of the application window. You can then just click and drag your new playlist directly onto this icon, to transfer the entire playlist to your handset.

Finally, all you need to do is swipe left from the Windows Phone Start Screen on your Nokia Lumia 800, then scroll down and tap on Music+Videos. You can then tap the Music option and swipe left three times to access all of your playlists. Then just tap on the playlist you want, to open it and start playing.
