One of the great things about the Nokia Belle operating system on the Nokia 700 is the ability to add contacts to the homescreen. Doing so makes calling friends and family as simple as tapping on home screen of your Nokia 700. Here’s how to do it...

The Nokia 700 is a beautifully slim device with a 3.2-inch AMOLED screen, 5-megapixel camera and support for up to 32GB of storage. But perhaps its most important feature is its Nokia Belle interface (coming soon to the Nokia C7 and Nokia N8) giving users the option to customise their Nokia phone like never before.
For instance, you can add your favourite contacts to any one of the homescreens, saving you the trouble of looking for their numbers.
How to add single contacts
If you have a small group of contacts you almost exclusively call, such as friends, family, or your most important co-workers, adding them to the homescreen of your Nokia 700 makes a lot of sense. Thankfully it is very easy to do so.
To get started, simply place your finger on the screen for just one second. A menu will pop up asking whether you want to add either a widget, shortcut or change wallpaper. Tap on ‘Add widget’.
You will now be taken to the Widgets menu. To add a single contact scroll down to ‘Contacts, single’ and tap on it. Now select the contact you wish to add from your phonebook by tapping on them. And that’s it. Repeat the process to add more.
How to add favourite contacts
Adding your favourites involves the same process. Only, instead of selecting ‘Contacts, single’ you select ‘Contacts, favourites’. Doing this will add your favourite contacts to any of the Nokia 700’s homescreens. It really is that easy.
