When you first switch on your new Nokia Lumia 800, the Contacts Transfer app makes it quick and easy to transfer contacts from Symbian phones such as the Nokia N8, Nokia E7 and Nokia C7. The app has now been updated to v1.5 and can be downloaded free for Nokia Lumia 800, Nokia Lumia 900 and Nokia Lumia 710 Windows Phones.
Nokia Lumia 800: How to transfer contacts
Letting you wirelessly connect your Nokia Lumia 800 via Bluetooth to your old Nokia phone and transfer your contacts in seconds, the Contacts Transfer app makes it nice and easy to get started using your new Windows Phone, without manually re-entering your contacts into your new handset.
Following the release of the Nokia Lumia 900 and the announcement that the Nokia Lumia 710 will be released in the UK on the 1st February, the Contacts Transfer app has now been updated to version 1.5, presumably in anticipation of all the new Nokia Windows Phone users that will soon be using the app.
At this stage we have no firm information on what tweaks or features the Contacts Transfer v1.5 update will be adding to Nokia Lumia handsets, but the update should be rolling out to Nokia Windows Phones as we speak, so you should see a prompt asking you to update your smartphone soon.
Have you already installed Contacts Transfer v1.5 and spotted anything new that you’d like to tell us about? Why not let us know in the Comments below.
