We've been enjoying the Nokia Lumia 800 in the UK for a few months now - it's rather good, isn't it? Now it's time for the next Nokia Windows Phone device to join it, and we're not talking about the Nokia Lumia 900. The Nokia Lumia 710 is coming soon to courtesy of Orange and Vodafone!
Nokia Lumia 710: Top 10 things you need to know
With all the justifiable hype surrounding the Nokia Lumia 800 and the Nokia Lumia 900 in recent months, you could be forgiven for having forgotten about the Nokia Lumia 710. Now it's firmly back on the agenda, and it certainly deserves its moment in the spotlight.
The Nokia Lumia 710 promises to be the best value Windows Phone device yet. While it will be cheaper than its two Nokia stablemates, though, it won't be found wanting for performance. That's because the Lumia 710 will boast the same 1.4GHz processor as both the Nokia Lumia 800 and the Nokia Lumia 900. Its LCD screen, too, is the same size (3.7-inch) and resolution (800 x 480) as the Nokia Lumia 800's.
Combined with the exact same Windows Phone operating system as can be found on the other phones in the range, the Nokia Lumia 710 will be able to do pretty much everything the others can do.
So that's a little reminder about the phone - the real news (following last week's confirmation of a February release) is that the Nokia Lumia 710 is set to arrive on a number of UK operators very soon. Vodafone has been in touch to confirmed that it will be making the phone available over the next few weeks. They aren't giving the game away in terms of price or colours, but at least they're making a shout that it's due!
Meanwhile, Orange is listing the Lumia 710 on its Coming Soon page and we're hoping to get more information from them in due course.
