Here in the UK we're as pleased as punch with the Nokia Lumia 800, but how's it doing elsewhere in the world? We take a look at the facts and figures for our current favourite phone as well as for the Nokia Lumia 710, which is due out in the UK over the coming weeks.
Nokia Lumia 800 Ultimate User Guide
First, the Nokia Lumia 800. While it was supposedly a limited roll-out in certain key regions, it's currently available in 14 countries - from Portugal in the west to Taiwan in the east, and plenty in between. It hasn't even hit the vast American continent yet, so expect further ripples to be made when it finally does so in 2012.
Meanwhile the Nokia Lumia 710 may not have hit the UK yet, but it has made its way to 13 other countries, with a number of others (including the UK) set to join over the coming weeks.
The joint roll-out of the Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 710 in each country isn't a small scale thing either, with more than 40 operators involved.
Let's talk apps. With Windows phone being the newest smartphone platform on the block, some proponents of rival platforms have suggested that a lack of apps might be a bit of a hindrance. Well, take a look at Windows Phone Marketplace and you'll find more than 50,000 applications on offer. Interestingly, Windows Phone hit this figure five months earlier than Android managed, which means things are growing extremely rapidly.
