One of the cool things about the Nokia 700 is that it has features that you may not realise are there, or hardly ever use. Take the Nokia 700 Calendar, for instance. Nokia 700: How to extend battery life

The extra functionality is just one of the great features included with any Nokia Belle phone. In this case we're looking at it on the Nokia 700 -  one of the most eco-friendly phones Nokia has produced, with great features such as pre-loaded apps, up to 32GB of internal storage and more.

Locating the Calendar app is simple. By default it should appear on your main homescreen, or any of the other homescreens, if you’ve previously moved it.

If you still cannot see a calendar place your finger on the display for a couple of seconds, tap on Add widget and then scroll to Calendar and tap it to add one to your homescreen. If you’re using the Calendar for the first time you’ll see that you don’t have any events planned.

To create a new event tap on the plus sign (+) at the bottom of the screen. Select Personal or Meeting, and then enter the subject as the name of your appointment (e.g. dentist). Then enter a beginning and end time and date for your event and location. Tap on the tick button to confirm. Another neat Calendar feature is the ability to view by month, week, day or as a to-do list. Tap on the little number 12 icon to to do this.

There are other nice little features too. Tap on the menu button on the right to view your calendars. If you’ve created more than one event and switched between Personal and Meeting, here is where you’ll see different calendars. Tap on the menu button again, and settings to view how to set alarms for events and customise how you use your Nokia 700 Calendar. The rest is up to you.
