Nokia Lumia 900 set to be Best Smartphone 2012

The Nokia Lumia 900 has been winning friends and influencing people since it first hit the streets earlier this year. It’s already won more awards than you can fit on a mantelpiece but it looks like it could be up for a couple more. Read on to find out why the Nokia Lumia 900 looks like being the best smartphone of 2012.

The Nokia Lumia 900 is a 4.3-inch smartphone running Windows Phone and is the largest phone screen machine Nokia has released to date. Since it was first unveiled its been winning awards, taking Best of CES Smartphone Award from PC Mag along with Best of CES from Popular Science, as well as one of the best and quirkiest gadgets from Wired Gadget Lab – check out the list of Nokia Lumia 900 CES awards

Now, the good people over at What Mobile magazine have posted up their Awards 2012 nominations and Nokia has places in four of the seven phone specific categories, matched only by Apple and Samsung and beaten by no one – not bad for a brand people have been saying has lost its magic touch!

The Nokia Lumia 900 takes up two of those slots, being nominated for the best smartphone of 2012, as well as the best multimedia smartphone award. Elsewhere, the Nokia Asha 300 as best feature phone 2012 and it wouldn’t be an award season without the Nokia 808 PureView being placed in the best camera-phone category (is there really any other option in this one?)

It’s a nice line up for Nokia phones but we were a little perplexed not to see Nokia in Best Manufacturer category as the company has done more this year to push phone technology forward than the others put together, surely?
