Now, the good people over at What Mobile magazine have posted up their Awards 2012 nominations and Nokia has places in four of the seven phone specific categories, matched only by Apple and Samsung and beaten by no one – not bad for a brand people have been saying has lost its magic touch!
The Nokia Lumia 900 takes up two of those slots, being nominated for the best smartphone of 2012, as well as the best multimedia smartphone award. Elsewhere, the Nokia Asha 300 as best feature phone 2012 and it wouldn’t be an award season without the Nokia 808 PureView being placed in the best camera-phone category (is there really any other option in this one?)
It’s a nice line up for Nokia phones but we were a little perplexed not to see Nokia in Best Manufacturer category as the company has done more this year to push phone technology forward than the others put together, surely?
