Using Nokia PhotoBeamer on your Nokia Lumia 920 or Nokia Lumia 820 is incredibly easy. All you need is the app on your phone and a web browser – either on a connected Smart TV or a friend’s laptop or PC.

Open PhotoBeamer and use it to view the images on your phone. Choose an image and you’ll be directed to go to on your friend’s web browser and point it at the screen. Point the phone camera at the QR code that appears on the website, tap it when it’s visible on the camera screen, and then you’ll start sharing images.

PhotoBeamer can work on a standard 3G connection, as well as 4G and WiFi, as the app optimises data to make it as quick and seamless as possible.

You won’t find PhotoBeamer on the Windows Phone Store, only in the Nokia Collection of your handset. If you’ve not already upgraded to the Nokia Lumia 820 or Nokia Lumia 920 this is just one more reason to do so, as it’s fun, free and easy to get to grips with!

If you want to see how quick and easy it is then check out this video we put together to illustrate how easy Nokia PhotoBeamer is!

You can download PhotoBeamer using the QR Code below. Simply use the Magnifying glass on your Nokia Lumia, select the ‘eye’ icon and hold the phone up to the QR Code and it’ll take you to the link.

Nice one, glad you’re enjoying using it :)

thanks, got it on my desk top & ipad, works great.

I tried it all. This link actually displays already on my computer that the app is restricted. The only solution was to change my country+region to UK, download and install the app, and then switch back to my original region. This workaround is the only solution I found.

  • Mikey_Bee

That’s odd, we’ve not heard of it being region locked. Have you tried this link?

When I follow the QR code, I get to the app (displayed in the store on my phone). However, instead to have the install button I get the following message: “The app is not avaiable for your device.”. This makes no sense since I just bought a Lumia 920. So I tap the screen for more info, and I get this message: “This might be because your phone software needs to be updated, the app is exclusive to a different mobile provider, or the app is not avaiable in your country/region.”

We’ve added the QR Code above so please try that.

We’re not aware of it being restricted, maybe just taking a little while to roll out. We’ve added the QR Code above so please try that.
