Nokia the most tweeted manufacturer of MWC 2013
We all know that Nokia is the most interesting mobile manufacturer around, but it appears as is this is the general Twitter consensus too.
According to an analysis report run by Lissted, Nokia proved to be the most popular topic during the Mobile World Congress event held in Barcelona last week.
The analysis was based on some 7,260 tweets from 619 journalists, bloggers and analysts, as well as 419 media outlet accounts. It was compiled by tracking mention of the words ‘MWC,’ ‘MWC13,’ ‘MWC2013′ or ‘Mobile World Congress’ during the week leading up to the show, as well as during the show itself.
Taking in these comprehensive parameters, the most mentioned brand of the period was none other than Nokia, with rival Samsung beaten back into second place.
It’s easy to see why Nokia would be so buzzed about during MWC 2013. After all, here was where it launched its latest Windows Phone 8 handsets, the Nokia Lumia 720 and the Nokia Lumia 520.
The Nokia Lumia 720 is a truly impressive mid-ranger, with a 4.3-inch super-sensitive display, a 1GHz dual-core CPU and a fantastic 6.7-inch camera.
Meanwhile the Nokia Lumia 520 represents a new entry-point to the Lumia with Windows Phone 8 series. It brings with it s 4-inch display and a 1GHz dual-core CPU, but the main talking point is its €139 price tag.
