How to find your lost Nokia Lumia running Windows Phone 8
Did you know that if you’ve misplaced, lost or had your Nokia Lumia smartphone stolen you can use Windows Phone to help track it down? Find My Phone is a feature of Windows Phone 8 that allows you to locate your phone, and lock or delete all data from it remotely.
If the worst should happen and you lose your Nokia Lumia there are simple steps you can take to make sure you either find it, or wipe it clean so no one can view or use the data stored on it.
To protect your Nokia Lumia in case it gets lost, go to Settings and switch Find My Phone on. You can also have your phone save its location periodically, so that it can be found even if the battery is dead.
If you have lost your phone you need to go to Windowsphone.com and sign in with your Microsoft account. From here you can select to find your phone to see the last known location of your Nokia Lumia device.
If you’ve misplaced your phone at home you can make it ring, even if it’s on silent. If it has been stolen you can also lock or erase it remotely from this screen.
